Morocco, Portugal, and Spain

Wouldn’t you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express, All on board the train!

Ski season is over and Betsy and I are saying goodbye to the wonderful snow of Northern New Mexico for the warmth of Morocco, where we are planning on a two week circumnavigation starting in Casablanca, then on to Essaouira, Marrakesh, Skoura, Erg Chebbi, Erfoud, Fez, and Tangiers, before crossing the Strait of Gibraltar to Algeciras, Spain and then on to Granada.  From Granada we are driving to Seville before flying on to Lisbon Portugal.  After checking out Portugal for a few days we fly to Bilbao Spain to visit the Guggenheim before enjoying a few days of R&R in San Sebastian, where we’ll catch a train for Barcelona.  After leaving Barcelona we will spend some time Valencia on the “Sun Coast”, followed by a high-speed rail transport to Madrid for several days of touring before our return flight home.  Check back for a progress report as we will be posting along the way.  Cheers!
